Misuse of Drugs
Not all drugs are safe. One can experience the harmful effects of drugs even if it is not taken in over dosage. The damage of metabolic and excretory function of our bodies may reverse the reaction of a certain drug that may cause chronic poisoning.

Iron which is commonly used as a supplement for anemic people is one of the causes of poisoning among children. Excessive intake of iron may cause hemorrhagic necrosis and cell damage.
Over usage of dextromethorpan which is found in medicines for cough may also cause poison if taken more than the 10mg/kg dosage.
Acetaminophen or Paracetamol, whish is commonly found in medicines for fever may also cause damage to hepatic macromolecule of our liver. When taken more than the 140mg/kg dosage for children and 6 g for adults, it may cause poisoning to the person who used it.
Drugs are intended to heal and save lives. Let us be vigilant to the proper use of drugs before it drives our health spiraling downward.
