Even pharmacies would use the scanners for easy inventory. The items have their own barcodes that enable the computer to recognize each of them. Through the barcode scanner, the computer scans the barcode of an item and checks the database of what it’s description and price would be. It is sometimes very hectic in the office. There are times that people are too busy with things that they forget about the time especially for the workaholic. We need rest after a few hours. If we’re in front of the computer we can look at something near then something far after one or two hours. It will help our eyes exercise a bit instead of just looking at the monitor the whole day. There are also times that when needed, office supplies seems to be depleted because nobody was able to monitor it. I guess it’s just one of those days when you need something finished and there are lots of obstacles that hinder you from your work.

When we visit the stores and try to buy some goods, there are these stickers with little bars or bar codes on them. All of the items have these bar codes and the cashier uses a scanner like the Symbol LS2208 barcode scanner to read the bar codes and input the details on the computer. The bar codes are like IDs for these items. It helps the cashier with the computation of what you are buying through automation. When the computer receives the information on the bar code, it looks into its database and can pull out its price. It can also update the inventory in the database and help the people who are in charge of the stocks and supplies.
